The Curse and the Hex is a collaborative project conducted with artists Cierra Lione and Rebekah Rose, mixing painting, a paper installation, a performance, and photography.
The Curse and the Hex is about creation, creating as women, creating together. It is about magic, witchcraft, and the undefeated power of women. It is about what feeds creation, and writing in particular.
The Curse and the Hex questions and plays with the figure of the artist, embodied by writer Cierra Lione, by staging the performative dimension of writing, the fight with the self, and the power and mystical magnitude of the written word, and by extension the performative virtue of any form of creative expression.
